Official launch YouTube Thailand
On Monday 19th May, 2014 at Royal Paragon Hall, YouTube Thailand or youtube.co.th held an official launched event where Ms. Jittrapa Payackso, General Manager of MCT, was invited as a V.I.P guest and taken picture with Directors of YouTube together with YouTube content creators and other partners in Thailand.
The most important thing creators or content providers will receive from YouTube is “royalty”. However, this will only happen when the work has high number of view and ads fee revenue. In addition, Thailand is the 62nd country besides other that YouTube decided to do the officially launch.
According to the speeches from Mr. Tom Pickett, YouTube Vice president of content, and Mr. Ariya Panomyong, Country Business manager Google Thailand, launching YouTube Thailand could be a great opportunity for marketer to reach big amount of consumer market. Moreover they also introduced six Advertisement options, which are Mastheads Advertising, TrueView In – Stream Ads, TrueView in Display, TrueView In – Slate, Display Ads, and InVideo Ads. These options allow users to connect with brands through advertising in any platforms such as smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Most of the advertisement allow users to choose whether they want to watch or skip, which content creators can generate revenue from these methods.
